Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. No legal advice

The content on this website is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a lawyer about your specific circumstances. Law changes, and general information may not reflect the current position or apply to your situation.

3. No solicitor-client relationship

Contacting us through this website — including submitting a contact form, requesting a consultation, or downloading a guide — does not create a solicitor-client relationship. A solicitor-client relationship arises only once we have completed a conflicts check and both parties have signed a written engagement agreement. Until then, information you send us is not privileged, and we are not acting for you.

4. Do not send confidential information

Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive material through this website. If you have a limitation period, court date, or other deadline approaching, contact us by telephone at 780-246-8409 rather than relying on a web form.

5. Downloadable guides

Any checklists or guides offered on this website are general educational resources prepared for Alberta residents. They are not tailored to your circumstances and do not constitute legal advice.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, layout, and graphics, is owned by ATEH LAW unless otherwise indicated. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You may not reproduce or republish our content commercially without our written permission.

7. Third-party links

This website may link to external sites, including government and court resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or accuracy.

8. Availability

We aim to keep this website available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the content is free of errors or entirely up to date.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ATEH LAW is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information published on this website. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under Alberta law, and nothing here limits our professional obligations to clients we have formally agreed to act for.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Alberta.
